Thus begins The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer, reminding us that April is National Poetry Month. Whether or not you agree with Chaucer that April showers are sweet, you can still celebrate poetry month at SBU Libraries, where poetry is an important part of the collection. Subject guides for English & Global Literature, MFA Creative Writing/Literature, and The Poetry Center Film Archives can get you started with discovering our many literary resources. These include databases such as Literature Online and the W.B. Yeats Collection. Moreover, SBU Libraries’ collection of books (both print and e-books)and scholarly full text articles on poetry will provide the breadth and depth needed for any literary research inquiries.
