Fall 2021 Chat Hours (August 23 – December 16)

Monday – Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Weekend chat begins September 4. There will be no weekend chat November 27 and 28.

Winter 2021 Chat Hours (December 17 – January 21)

Monday-Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

There will be no chat Monday, January 17 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day). Chat will close at 3:00pm on Friday, December 24 and Friday, December 31.

A professional Librarian can answer your questions at the Reference Desk in the North Reading Room, Melville (Main) Library. Please ask at the desk to be directed to an available librarian.

A professional librarian is available during the semester:

Meet with a Subject Specialist

Our subject specialist liaison librarians can provide in-depth research assistance for all SBU students, faculty, and staff. 

If you already know which librarian you would like to meet with, you may email them directly. Otherwise, fill out our research consultation form and a subject librarian will contact you!
