On its maiden voyage the University Libraries boat S.S. Melville won Second Place at the 2012 Roth Pond Regatta. This was the fist year for the Libraries at the regatta.
S.S. Melville was bravely piloted by Kathleen Maxheimer and Kristen Cinar, and they are among a heroic crew who worked long hours to design, build and decorate the ship: Ken Doyle, Santo Farina, Mary Ficuciello, Elba Orsland, Donna Sammis, Hanne Tracey, and David Weiner. We congratulate and applaud them for their hard work, spirit and daring-do!
