Stony Brook University Libraries honors our nurses during National Nursing Week (May 6-12). Held around the birthday of nursing pioneer Florence Nightingale, it’s a week to recognize nurses and all they do.
Here in the HSL, we offer resources to help our nurses year-round, whether you are a student or faculty member in the School of Nursing or a nurse working in Stony Brook Hospital.
The nursing research guide is available to point you to anything you might need for research or practice http://guides.library.stonybrook.edu/nursing
And don’t forget to use Nursing Reference Center Plus, our top resource for working nurses. It’s got information on diseases, drugs, nursing skills, and more. There are great skills videos if you need a refresher and a collection of patient education materials. For the working RN, there are continuing education classes to help you get the CEUs you need. You can find NRC+ on the HSL home page under “Top Resources”.
Nurses, we celebrate you this week–and every week!
