On October 17th, Dr. Javier Uriarte presented his research on the posthumously published memoirs of Alfred d’Escragnolle Taunay and the ways in which this text engages with the Paraguayan War. The talk, attended by both faculty members and students, was followed by a rich discussion of Taunay’s work and its broader cultural context.
Please join the Libraries for a second faculty lecture in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, “The Bilingual Identity and its Expression in Oral and Written Form,” to be given by Dr. Elena Davidiak on October 30th at 11:00. Please register here.
