Library Faculty elected President of Asian Pacific Librarians Association

Congratulations to Janet Clarke, Associate Dean of Research & User Engagement, on being elected President of the Asian Pacific American Librarians Association (APALA) for the 2015-16 term.
APALA is a formal American Library Association Affiliate Organization, and one of ALA’s five ethnic caucuses.   She has served on APALA’s Executive Board since 2012, currently serving as its Vice President.  In that capacity, she is co-chairing the planning of the APALA President’s Program: “Global Roots, Local Identities: Asian International Adoption and Advocacy,” which will be part of the ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco in June.
