Melville Library will host SBUHacks 2026 in the Central Reading Room starting Friday evening, October 23, all the way through Sunday afternoon, October 25.
Organized by the Stony Brook Computing Society, this 36-hour hackathon brings together 300+ students to collaborate on technical projects under this year’s theme: Steel and Steam.
The hackathon is open to all skill levels; no prior coding experience required.
Over $3,000 in prizes will be awarded plus food, drinks, and swag are provided for participants.
