Health Sciences Library Printing Changes

Effective Wednesday, December 19, 2012, printing in the student and public computing facilities of the Health Sciences Library will be incorporated into the West Campus Pharos printing system. By joining student print management systems across the entire University campus, all registered Stony Brook students can print 280 pages a week (Monday – Sunday) in the Health Sciences Library,  SINC sites, and Residential Computing Centers or by using Stony Brook’s Print From Anywhere serviceThe printing balance for students comes from the Student Technology Fee that each student pays as part of their tuition. In order to print, students will need to send their print jobs to the Pharos Queue from computers in the aforementioned locations, or from their personal computers using Print From Anywhere. Students will need their Stony Brook University ID card and Wolfie’s Wallet funds to release their print jobs.

General details and FAQs for this printing system can be found on DoIT’s Printing page and its Print From Anywhere page.

In addition to providing these new printing service enhancements on the East Campus, the system utilizes Wolfie’s Wallet payment functions. Wolfie’s Wallet is a campus prepaid declining balance debit account encoded on the campus ID. It is a safe and convenient way to make food purchases from on and off campus merchants, make purchases from campus stores and vending machines, mail packages in the residential mailroom, purchase tickets through the Staller Center ticket office, and utilize print and copy services.
