Art Exhibits in Central & North Reading Rooms

The University Libraries is proud to have several art exhibits on display this semester.

Reflections and Connections

This exhibit can be found in both the Central and North Reading Rooms. Reflections is located in the Central Reading Room and showcases portraits representing different types of personal relationships – familial, cultural, identity. On the second floor of the North Reading Room, Connections highlights relationships with the world, whether nature or unique locations.

We are excited to have collaborated with Cesar Abadia and Camilo Ruiz from the University of Connecticut for an art installation called Casa Común. The project will be installed in early February and honors the victims of the armed conflict in Columbia through individual art pieces of embroidery and painting.

Please contact Kenneth Schaal with any questions about the exhibitions or with questions about future art exhibitions [kenneth.schaal@stonybrook.edu]
