On March 6, 2020, Stony Brook University Libraries held its annual Open Access Symposium. The event drew a wide array of panelists, presenters and audience members from numerous institutions throughout the United States. This year’s event included two keynote speakers, Alexis Clifton (Senior Instruction Support Specialist, SUNY Geneseo) and Catherine Mitchell (Director of Publishing and Special Collections, University of California). Ms. Clifton and Ms. Mitchell presented on issues related to Open Educational Resources and the Open Access Publishing landscape respectively. Panelists and audience discussions explored a variety of topics pertaining to open data management, scholarly publishing, OER (Open Educational Resources), among others. View the days events here
