On Thursday, May 2, 2019, the event opened with a short and traditional ceremony to honor those who lost their lives in the holocaust. Ruth Minsky Sender, holocaust survivor, author and speaker, gave a heart-warming talk about her life experiences as a child living during the holocaust. She shared the saddening details of her separation from family but expressed the liberating feeling of finally gaining her freedom.
This event was in collaboration with the University Libraries’ Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Committee and Hillel Foundation.
