Librarians Robert Tolliver (Head, Science and Engineering; President, Geoscience Information Society) and Kristen Nyitray (Director, Special Collections and University Archives, University Archivist) were invited speakers at the Long Island GIS (Geographic Information System) Users Conference held at Stony Brook University on November 16, 2017. In their presentation on historical and recent maps of Long Island, they discussed highlights from the collections at Stony Brook and recent uses of them in research and scholarship.
