The Digital Public Library of America or DPLA connects you to libraries and museums in order to access collections for free. With DPLA you will have access to photographs, books, maps, sculptures, artwork, and other museum materials from your computer. Many topics of interest can be found inside the Exhibitions section of the website; including topics on The Great Depression, the rise of industries, and the Golden Age of Radio. DPLA also offers a Timeline in order to explore specific time periods or dates.
DPLA can be an extremely useful tool for anyone interested in history or for anyone who wants a museum experience from the comfort of their own home. Digital Public Library of America also offers many Apps to aid in your learning experience.
