SBU Southampton Library Displays Women’s Poetry Collection

The Southampton Library recently added a number of chapbooks of women’s poetry to its collection.

Titles include The Mask of Medusa (1987) by Sheryl St. Germain, Rising (1980) by Canadian poet Gert Beadle, Returning What We Owed (1980) by Carolyne Wright and Judith McDaniel’s November Woman (1983).

Many are from the Women Writers Chapbook Series published by Cross-Cultural Communications.

Fiercely personal and uncompromising, these collections represent a unique blend of female voices. Many of these titles will be on display in the library through the end of the semester.
