There are a vast number of bioinformatics databases, software tools, and resources available on the web covering a wide range of biological data including genes, genomes, sequences, molecular structures, proteins, gene expression and genetic variation. This workshop will help you get started by identifying key ‘entrance’ points and search techniques with a focus on the resources provided by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).
