The Game Lab goes Topsy-Turvy in honor of this year’s Roth Regatta theme.
Last Friday, Library staff bravely represented their department in the 25th Annual Roth Regatta. Today, pieces from this cleverly crafted vessel can be viewed in the Central Reading Room. They have been appropriately relocated near the entrance of the Library’s Game Lab, which houses an expansive collection of vintage and modern video games, part of the Higinbotham Game Studies Collection. Students who enroll in the Game Studies courses, and also members of the University’s Gamers Guild are permitted to use these games for research purposes within the Game Lab itself. Not yet enrolled in the classes or the club? Swing on by and check out the display of classic games, and get a close-up look at the artifacts saved from the Regatta event.
