Digital Humanities Open Mic Event, October 31st

Yesterday afternoon faculty and students gathered in the Center for Scholarly Communications at Melville Library to discuss the digital humanities and to explore new possibilities for research.  Emphasizing practices and tools, scholars presented projects which used technology to reveal new insights within the traditional humanistic media of texts, images, and maps.

This second Open Mic event provoked excellent discussion and allowed attendees to learn about digital humanities tools in ways that will help them incorporate new practices and considerations in their research.  The Libraries will host another Digital Humanities Open Mic event in the spring.  Hope to see you there!
