“Finding aid” is the archival term for a guide to a collection. It includes descriptive information and may also include an inventory of the items that are contained within a collection.

II. Books, Maps, and other Published Materials: Search the Library Catalog
Rare books, historic maps, and other published materials can be searched using the library catalog. Searches can be refined by limiting results to the location of “Special Collections” or “University Archives.”
