SBU 102 Students Make Discoveries in Special Collections

On Wednesday, February 11, students in the SBU 102 course, “Reacting to New Technology,” visited SBU Libraries’ Special Collections with Kristen Nyitray, and explored items that showcased ways new technologies and ideas were impacting society from approximately 100 years ago. Amongst the items they explored were The Subways and Tunnels of New York (1912), The Romance of Business (1917), The Flight Across the Atlantic (1919), and Use of Electricity on the Face and Scalp (1924). Thanks to Kristen Nyitray and Lynn Toscano for creating such a rewarding and fun morning for our 8:00 AM class!
