Upcoming Workshops on the NIH Public Access Policy

The Health Sciences Library is now offering workshops and support for NIH Public Access Policy (NIHPAP) Compliance. The Policy requires all NIH funding-supported articles to be submitted to PubMed Central within 12 months of publication in a scholarly journal. Lack of compliance will cause the NIH to hold processing of grant paperwork and delay release of funds.

Workshops will be offered April 22 (1pm) and April 29 (3pm); register at http://guides.library.stonybrook.edu/workshops (walk-ins welcome). The workshop will review the purpose and requirements of the policy, demonstrate the submission systems involved, and explain the compliance process. Also, an online Guide to the NIHPAP is available at http://guides.library.stonybrook.edu/nihpap and individual/group consultations can be arranged by contacting the Health Sciences Library.
