The annual Clarinuts! recital in the Library’s Galleria yesterday was a resounding success!
Professor Alan Kay and his students performed a wide variety of selections from the clarinet repertory by composers Paul Harvey, Jörg Widmann, Béla Kovács, Gabriel Pierné, Theresa Martin, Ludwig Van Beethoven and Marc Mellits. The wonderful performances were appreciated by attendees and passersby.
Thank you Professor Kay and all the students who performed: Chao-Chih George Chen, Daniel Mészáros , Kelsi Doolittle, David Oh, Sooyeon Cho, Guilherme Batalha, Nikhil Bartolomeo and Yumito Torigoe. Thanks also to Caterina Reed, Marta Weigand, Jessica Infanzon, Chris Kretz, Christine Fena, and Chrysovalantou Tsoumpelis for their invaluable assistance in setting up and breaking down the performance area. Thank you to Dean Karim Boughida for the tuning of the piano, and his support of the Library’s recital series. We look forward to next year’s Clarinuts concert!
