In the 1970s and 1980s bulletin boards across Stony Brook University were covered with student broadsides: single-sided posters, flyers, advertisements, and announcements. These broadsides vividly reflect campus and national events of the times. Topics include student activism, social activities, breaking news, and meetings of student clubs.
These items were intended to be posted for only a brief time. Special Collections and University Archives collected this ephemera and the collection is now open for research use. Also included in the collection are newsletters and brochures. For more information, visit the website of Special Collections and University Archives.
