Participants in this workshop will receive hands-on training in the basics of operating the scanner and ScanWizard software to produce high quality electronic versions of unstructured text suitable for text mining and analysis. We will touch upon how to prepare your files for optical character recognition (OCR) using ABBYY Fine Reader software and discuss copyright concerns raised when reproducing print items.
*Note: Additional training may be required before personnel are permitted to operate the scanner independently.
