Stony Brook University Libraries now has a membership with Punctum Books. Punctum Books is a scholar-led, queer-led, and peer-reviewed diamond open-access academic book publisher of titles in the humanities, social sciences, fine arts, and architecture & design fields.
A full catalog of their titles can be found here. Punctum’s titles are also indexed by the Directory of Open Access Books and can be found in SBU’s catalog.
Punctum’s open access initiative removes any author-facing fees to create a more equitable scholarly publishing practice. Stony Brook’s membership with Punctum Books supports this OA initiative to promote diverse voices in scholarly works and open scholarly communication.
