Two Stony Brook Health Sciences Librarians attended the Canadian Health Sciences Library Association Conference June 3-5, 2023 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The conference theme was ‘From Information to Action’.
Laurel Scheinfeld and Sunny Chung presented a paper during the Knowledge Synthesis Session entitled: “Putting a Sustainable Service Into Action.”
Sunny Chung delivered a lightning talk titled: “The Challenge of Accurately Formatted References; Does Medline Get it Right?”
The Librarians also had the opportunity to meet with vendors and try out tools such as a VR headset with anatomy 3D models in the exhibition hall. Additionally, librarians toured the Kellogg Health Sciences Library at Dalhousie University, which was just a short bus ride away from the conference location.
We extend our congratulations to both Laurel Scheinfeld and Sunny Chung for their ongoing commitment to professional engagement in their field.
