LGBT Pride Month

The month of June celebrates LGBT Pride, in honor of the Stonewall riots in Manhattan which, in 1969,  began the gay pride movement in the United States. Pride Month is our opportunity to highlight key topical resources at SBU Libraries, starting with our Queer Studies guide, a comprehensive guide to relevant articles, books, journals, news resources and more.  Moreover, our Kanopy database which offers streaming videos across platforms is another great resource with a special collection celebrating LGBT pride. For information  specific to the event that sparked the movement, our collection includes books, videos, and full text  peer reviewed articles about the legacy of Stonewall.
