Sara Martínez Navarro is a PhD student in the Department of Hispanic Languages and Literature. This talk focuses on her research into rare volumes of Spanish-language poetry held by Stony Brook University Libraries, with an emphasis on both the poets of the larger context in which their work was published. She has also worked with former professors and founders of the HLL at Stony Brook, Elias Rivers and Pedro Lastra. This talk sheds important light on an aspect of the library’s collections and on an important moment (1958-1979) in the history of Latin American literature.
