Formative is a realtime feedback app that lets instructors connect with their students in moments of learning. Instructors can load questions into the formative app and students can log on with their own devices using a classroom key. Once everyone is connected, the instructor can watch as students work through problems (using diagrams or text) and intervene with feedback in the moment.
The app also allows instructors to benchmark learning as students acquire knowledge, not just at the beginning and end of lessons. This could help instructors pinpoint the parts of their lessons that are working well and those that need refinement.
