Special Collections is currently featured in the News 12 series “Long Island’s Hidden Past” (January 2016). Hosted by journalist Danielle Campbell, the program showcases collections and historic sites throughout Long Island to highlight our region’s history.
Rare documents shown and discussed include the university’s two George Washington letters and original maps of Long Island published in 1640 and 1858. The segment can be viewed here. For more information about Special Collections, please visit the website for the department.
