Culper Spy Day was a community-wide event that celebrated the legacy of the Culper Spy Ring, a key part of Revolutionary War history rooted in Long Island. Held on September 6–7, 2025, the event featured interactive exhibits, historical reenactments, colonial-era demonstrations, and a newly introduced hop-on, hop-off trolley ride that connected visitors to major historic sites throughout the Three Village area. Attendees explored 18th-century espionage through museum tours, author talks, and hands-on activities for all ages. The weekend also included the Culper 5K race and the debut of a new exhibit highlighting the history of the Roe Tavern.
Special Collections welcomed visitors from the SBU and surrounding communities with an open house showcasing its 1779 and 1780 spy letters from General George Washington to Major Benjamin Tallmadge.
