We are excited to welcome Dr. Ahmad Pratama to the library faculty as our new Data Literacies Lead. In this role he’ll be building up the data literacies program at SBU Libraries, helping to ensure that our community understands how to critically use, meaningfully interpret, and effectively communicate with data.
Ahmad received his Ph.D. in Technology, Policy, and Innovation from Stony Brook, is a former Fulbright scholar, and has published research on many of the areas where technology and society intersect, from online and mobile education to social media use and security concerns.
He is also a devoted AC Milan fan who grew up playing various strategy games on his PC, including Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Command & Conquer: Red Alert, and Sid Meier’s Civilizations series.
