Every March, fourth-year medical students in the Stony Brook University Renaissance School of Medicine receive the news as to where they will be completing their residency training, an event known as “Match Day.” This year, the event will take place on Friday, March 18th at noon. All of the students (usually surrounded by friends and family) receive their results at the same time. For those that do not “match” during the first round, their names are re-entered into the system.
In 2021, a record-breaking 149 Stony Brook students matched during the first round.
Stony Brook University Libraries wishes the best of luck to all students in matching to their preferred programs!
