Stony Brook University Libraries is very pleased to introduce our new adjunct, Diane Holliday, who will join as Visiting Assistant Librarian in Special Collections and University Archives. Diane graduated from Stony Brook University with a BS in Atmospheric Science/Meteorology, earned an MBA from Dowling College, and attained an MLS degree and Certificate in Archives and Preservation of Cultural Materials from CUNY Queens College.

She was an associate professor/reference librarian at Dowling College for nearly 20 years, and then at St. Joseph’s College. Her work included in-person and virtual reference services, processing and digitizing archival collections, and teaching. Diane was instrumental in ensuring the rare and special collections formerly part of Dowling College were preserved and placed at appropriate cultural institutions.
Currently, she is an archival consultant to the Pollock-Krasner Study Center and an adjunct library instructor at Suffolk Community College.
We welcome Diane to our Libraries, and as stated by Diane, “I look forward to the day when I can meet everyone in the SBU libraries in person.”
