On April 13th, the University Libraries hosted the fourth event in this semester’s colloquium series, showcasing library faculty members’ research and professional development. Bob Tolliver (Head of Sciences & Engineering, Stony Brook University Libraries) and Clara Tran (Science Librarian, Stony Brook University Libraries) presented their research on collaborative publishing ventures among librarians and STEM and Health Sciences faculty members. This presentation is a result of research undertaken with Jennifer DeVito (Director for Access Services, Stony Brook University Libraries), Molly Higgins, and Sally Stieglitz (Adelphi University Libraries).
Janet Clarke (Associate Dean for Research & User Engagement, Stony Brook University Libraries) discussed her experiences attending the recent Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) conference in Baltimore. Her presentation created a forum in which to engage with current ideas and preoccupations in academic librarianship.
Please join us for our final colloquium event of the semester, to be held on May 11th at 1:00 in the Special Collections Seminar Room (2nd floor of Melville Library).
