Mark Twain is credited with observing, “everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it.” At Stony Brook University Libraries, that is simply not the case. For our researchers, climate data is available from many resources. For instance, data from NOAA (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) is available in the SBU Libraries’ collection and through databases such as NOAA Central Library. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Many more climate resources can be found through our subject guide to the Marine and Atmospheric Sciences Information Center (MASIC) where librarians have gathered information on articles, books, government database and more to highlight our valuable collection. The forecast for research at SBU Libraries: sunny and clear!
