Kate Kasten recently joined our library team as an Intern for the Spring semester! Kate is a student in the Master of Library and Information Science program at Queens College. She will graduate in May with her degree and a certificate in archival studies, and hopes to find a position in reference and research instruction, or in rare books and manuscripts. She is also an intern at the Morgan Library & Museum. Before beginning her studies in library science, Kate earned her PhD in French from the University of Pennsylvania. Kate will divide her time between the Melville and Health Sciences Libraries. While at the Melville Library, Kate will be working on Research & Instruction-related work: reference desk, chat reference service, instruction, Libguides, and other public service work experience. At Health Sciences Library she will be working a on digital exhibit project. When Kate has a free moment, she loves to read, bake, and practice yoga!
