Course Reserves

Course Reserves are books, articles, DVDs and videos, CDs, as well as electronic resources that are placed “on reserve” for students to use.  The material is typically in high demand or required for a course.  Material that is on reserve has a shorter circulation period and may be restricted to use in the Library.

Material requested for Reserves may have to be scanned, recalled or purchased.  This can cause a delay in the material being available for student use. To ensure that students have access to Reserves material at the start of classes, please submit your Reserves Requests by the following dates:

Fall – July 30
Spring – November 30
Summer – April 30

Requests received after the above dates may not be processed before the start of the semester.

Before assigning Reserve material to students, please check the catalog or contact the Reserves department to make sure the material is available for use.

Material is placed on Reserve for a semester.  At the end of the semester, all print material is removed from Reserve unless a new request is submitted.
