You are invited to join SBU Libraries on Wednesday April 20, from 11-12:15 in Special Collections Seminar Room (E-2340) of the Melville Library for a live simulcast of “A Conversation Among Survivors,” a program presented by the Suffolk Center on the Holocaust, Diversity and Human Rights. This program is being presented live at SCCC’s Shea Theater and simulcast to a few select locations, including SBU Libraries. The participants in the event are:
Annie Bleiberg, now of Woodbury, was born in Poland, was forced to live in the Lubaczow Ghetto, the Krakower Ghetto, the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp, and the Mohrisch Weisswasser work camp in Czechoslovakia.
Mordechai Miller, now of East Northport, was hidden with his family by a Polish family, and later had to hide in the woods, where they all survived.
Hannah Robinson, now of Sound Beach, was born in Germany, and at nine years old her parents sent her with her brother to England, on the Kindertransport.
Ruth Minsky Sender, now of East Setauket, was born in Poland, was forced to live in the Lodz Ghetto, the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp, the Mittelsteine and Grafenort work camps, and a displaced persons camp in Germany.
