Library Engagement with Military and Veteran Students at Stony Brook University

Since January 2018, Stony Brook University librarians have worked with the Office of Veterans Affairs to provide outreach, service, and academic engagement to the military and veteran community on campus. This presentation situates this work within the professional literature surrounding military and veteran patrons in libraries while describing specific practices at Stony Brook University, including the receipt of a Presidential Mini-grant for Departmental Diversity.
