Join us on June 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the Student Union Auditorium for Kaetrena Davis Kendrick’s public presentation, Fractals of the Low-Morale Experience Phenomenon: Implications for Humane Library Futures.
Kaetrena Davis Kendrick is a trailblazer and leading scholar in Library and Information Science. Her work focuses on concerns or questions about professionalism, ethics, and racial or ethnic diversity in the North American information professional sphere. In her own words, Kaetrena’s mission is to inspire authentic collegiality, and to promote well-being, share the gifts of creativity, and cultivate empathetic, engaged leadership in the workplace.
Kaetrena is co-editor of The Small and Rural Academic Library: Leveraging Resources and Overcoming Limitations and author of Kaleidoscopic Concern: An Annotated, Chronological Bibliography of Diversity, Recruitment, Retention, and Other Concerns Regarding African American and Ethnic Library Professionals and Global Evolution: An Annotated, Chronological Bibliography of International Students in U.S. Academic Libraries.
She was the 2019 ALA Academic/Research Librarian of the Year Award recipient and served as the 2024-2025 Follett Chair with Dominican University School of Information Studies.
