Stony Brook University Libraries is pleased to announce that we are a HathiTrust member library. We are now part of a group of 200+ libraries and institutions that comprise the HathiTrust community! HathiTrust provides access to more than 18 million digital items. Members of the Stony Brook Community can log into the HathiTrust Digital Library from on or off campus by clicking “Log in” on the HathiTrust homepage, selecting “Stony Brook University”, and signing in using their SBU NetID and password.
You can then utilize the services provided by the HathiTrust Research Center to access and download complete books and other works available in the public domain or through open access. Conduct searches on the full text of single or multiple books and other works and engage in textual and data analysis.
HathiTrust was founded in 2008 as a not-for-profit collaborative of academic and research libraries that preserved millions of digitized items in 400+ languages in the HathiTrust Digital Library. They offer reading access to the fullest extent allowable by U.S. and international copyright law, as well as text and data mining tools from the HathiTrust Research Center. Learn how to search and access books in the HathiTrust Digital Library and incorporate these resources into your teaching, learning, and research.
