The Stony Brook University Libraries were happy to host 4th graders from the Long Island School for the Gifted on February 27, 2018. The students toured the Central and North Reading Rooms as part of their Stony Brook University campus visit. Lisa Socci, Senior Assistant Head of Public Services, showed the students some of the resources available in the University Libraries’ collection and led a discussion about how to use the library when doing one’s homework. The students also got to see some of the new furniture and the collaborative learning and study spaces in both Reading Rooms and took home an SBU Libraries frisbee.
