Members of Stony Brook Libraries’ Access Services recently made the trip out east to Southampton as the Melville Library and the Southampton Library continue to make major strides in providing a continuity of service to all Stony Brook students. The Access Services representatives, Jennifer DeVito, Diane Englot, Giulieta Stoianov and Lisa Miller, helped to answer questions and train members of the library staff at Southampton. The group had a lively discussion on Inter-Library Loan and Course Reserves and will look to work together on these and similar issues in order to provide inclusive and efficient service to faculty, staff and students. The Access Services team was also able to learn more about the current setup at the Southampton Library and take a tour of the campus. The session turned out be informative and productive, as Stony Brook Libraries continues to work hard in order to create outstanding research opportunities and unparalleled learning spaces.
