Special Collections and University Archives hosted an open house on Friday, September 25, 2015. The event began with a presentation that highlighted the department’s collections, curatorial activities, outreach and engagement initiatives, and teaching partnerships.
A viewing of the university’s rare books, manuscripts, and maps followed in the reading room, and featured letters authored by George Washington, illuminated manuscripts dating from the 12th century, and early photographs of Stony Brook University.
