Stony Brook University Libraries’ recently had the unique opportunity of hosting electric bassist, Eleonore Oppenheim where she performed in the Melville Library Galleria.

“Quietly virtuosic” (Alan Kozinn, the New York Times) upright and electric bassist Eleonore Oppenheim is quickly gaining a reputation as both a  valued ensemble player and an engaging soloist.  Ms. Oppenheim is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree at SUNY Stony Brook, where she teaches applied double bass to undergraduate students, and is also an alumna of the Yale School of Music and the Juilliard School.”
