Stony Brook University Libraries participates in the Research Loan Program through Long Island Library Resources Council (LILRC). This program allows participating libraries to refer users to other libraries to borrow material. A reference librarian will work with you to determine which of the area libraries own the material you are looking for and will provide you with the documentation to present at that library’s Circulation Desk. You will be permitted to borrow material from that library.
In order to use the Research Loan Program, you must be a current Stony Brook University student, faculty or staff member with no outstanding fines on your account. You will be responsible for the material borrowed from the lending library and for any fines incurred.
For more information about the Research Loan Program, see the FAQ’s.
A list of participating libraries can be found on LILRC’s web site.
