Description
Led by Ahmad Pratama, SBU Libraries’ Data Literacies Lead, this Data Stacks session goes beyond syntax.
We’ll explore the philosophies behind Python and R, their communities, and their design approaches, as well as practical differences like libraries available in one but not the other, typical workflows, and disciplinary preferences.
You’ll see side-by-side examples of importing, cleaning, and analyzing data, while also discussing how to choose the language that best aligns with your goals, field, and preferences.
Register for the Zoom session here.
