Description
The author of books on Thomas Hart Benton and his student, Jackson Pollock, Henry will explain Benton’s formative influence through the lens of their shared admiration for the work of the mannerist painter Domḗnikos Theotokópoulos, known as El Greco. Henry Adams is an Ruth Coulter Heede Professor of Art History at Case Western Reserve University.
Part of the Art of Relationships series, this talk complements the Pollock-Krasner House’s current exhibition, “Creative Exchanges: Artists in Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner’s Address Book.” on view until July 30, 2023.
