Michael Huang Receives CALA Outstanding Leadership Award

Michael Huang, SUNY Distinguished Librarian, received the 2025 Outstanding Leadership Award from the Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA) in memory of Dr. Margaret Chang Fung. Michael was chosen from a large pool of nominations, which attests to his accomplishments and visionary leadership. He has demonstrated his leadership skills through his work as a health sciences librarian, serving in many CALA leadership capacities, and advancing numerous global library initiatives.

Michael’s service and contributions to research, as well as his collaboration in the international library community, demonstrate his dedication to CALA. His leadership and influence on library practice have earned him widespread recognition.
