We’re excited to introduce two new team members who have joined the Content Acquisitions department!
Annette Mims is our new Content Acquisitions Manager
Annette will be contributing to collection development, maintaining vendor relationships, overseeing external accessibility and information security reviews, and managing workflows related to resource acquisition.
She has been working at the American Physics Society as an Editorial Operations Assistant working on manuscript preparation and processing and maintaining communication with stakeholders. She also has experience working with library collections, program planning, and outreach.
Annette holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s degree in History, and earned her MLIS from CUNY Queens College.
Bob Gerath is our new Content Applications Analyst
Starting in April, Bob will provide technical leadership to collaboratively manage the Libraries’ information systems, including Primo discovery, and help to optimize platform configurations and user experience.
Bob has been working at Bowdoin College as a Library AI Research Assistant assessing faculty and students needs and the use of AI in education. He also has experience as a software engineer, applications developer, and has worked on projects related to library community outreach initiatives.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Math and Computer Science from Middlebury College, and earned his MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh in 2024.
